GreatToysOnline.com @ Anapolis

GreatToysOnlinephoto

I have been partnered and sponsored at the same time by GreatToysOnline.com ( GTO ) since around 2010. Malvin Lim of GTO has been very generous in supplying mw with Bandai model kits before. However due to some circumstance, he will no longer supply me with Gundam kits. I could however get other awesome items as his shop! And his shop is so awesome to put in words.

I always visit GreatToysOnline at Shoppesville Greenhills, however I was told to pick up some toys for unboxing and photo shoot at GTO Anapolis. It was my first time to visit that branch which was just a 6 minute walk from GTO Shoppesville. I love the Anapolis branch, it is more commuter friendly too! It is basically just a few minutes walk from the MRT ( train ) station.

Do check out GreatToysOnline at Anapolis soon! Below is some photos of the GTO branch and a map.

HY2M Air Shock Battle 1/12 Beam Saber - review

I got this cool Gundam toy a few days ago and wanted to post photos the moment I opened the old box. HY2M stands for Hyper Hybrid Model and this is a 1/12 Air Shock Battle Beam Saber released way back 2008. I think based on the box, this is compatible with the huge HY2M 1/12 Gundam replica sold for 3,400 USD at Bandai Hobby Shop.

Obviously I can only afford the beam saber and I love this toy / replica so much. When you turn on the beam saber it vibrates and releases a nice start up sound. It then releases some humming sounds whenever it is idle and it also turns off when unplayed for a minute or so.

WALX Mobile Suit Gundam Dom and Acguy clips

Ello guys, I got the green Zaku clip a while back and got the Dom and Acguy clips a couple of weeks ago. I really like this clips / keychains. The design is pretty straight forward and simple but resembles the Zeon MS a lot.

I took a lot of pics of these keychains earlier today before my dad's new pet came, the black baboy / pig. hihi. I plan to collect the other clips, all of them actually... but I am in the hunt for the Char Zaku in particular. Btw, a clip costs 150 Php... pretty reasonable but a bit expensive for a keychain of course. XD

My cheapo hauls today! XD

Ello guys, I just got home from the shopping mall with my wife and kids, basically I brought the AC White Glint to FedEX for shipping, did some groceries, bought the kids a few cheapo toys, played with the kids in the arcade and treated ourselves to lunch and of course got myself some few stuffs.

The FedEX shipping attempt was a failure, first I inquired at DHL and to GO ( local shipping companies, I think ) then I inquired at FedEX. The attendants are cool and accomodating...but the price is NOT! FedEX is a 100 Php cheaper than DHL and to Go but FedEX is charging me 5,100 Php that is 110 USD! Apparently it is my fault.

Now I know that the shipping companies are charging you in terms of the size/dimension of your package or the weight of the package whichever is bigger. So, using the MG Zeong box was a NO NO...due to its huge dimension ( even though it weighs less than half a kilo ) is really expensive to ship. So basically I bought some bubble wraps today and will try to pack the kit in a smaller box. wish me luck guys. XD

Anyways, due to the shipping frustration I bought a few small cheapo stuffs for myself...I got meself some large markers, a couple of Gundam keychains, a Starcraft 1/20 Terran model kit, a set of 1/72 figures and a tool for modeling. Here they are...

These huge permanent markers can serve me well for a scratch building project I have in mind...similar to what I did with the scratch built backpack I am working on...

Char Aznable BUST

This is roughly around 5 inches tall including the stand and the bust itself is around 3 inches. The figure is relatively big and I got it dirt cheap ( 100 Php ). There are two variations of this figure, the other one has a slightly different hand pose and has sunglasses on. I chose to get this instead coz I like the quality of the paint job on the eyes and the hand pose of this one is a bit better.

This is my fourth Char figure ( have not taken pics of the other 2 ) and I am kinda a Char fan...I would always grab a Char figure if there is any ( as long as it is cheap ). This is my fav amongst all of them, though the other two Char figs are prizes from Bakuc...this one is simply bigger and better. Now here are some pics I took today of the cool looking Char bust fig...

WALX Mobile Suit Gundam Zaku clip

Ello guys, I just got home from work, been in the office since 7 am and its almost 11 pm now. Anyways,  I just want to share a cool looking WALX Zaku clip / keychain by Bandai Asia that I got yesterday in a toy shop while I was hunting for a hguc Bawoo and a hguc the O. I never found those kits so I just grabbed something that is Gundam. My little girl Sammy got herself a nice puppy stuff toy and some Play doughs and my girl Nico got herself some crayola stuffs. My little 2 year old boy Basti was with her mom in the grocery...so I was not able to get him a toy. Anyways, here are some pics of this cute Zaku clip...

Gundam Stand Art ZAKU II

I got this 3 inch figure of a MS-06J ZAKU II. It says in the box that is was designed by Fusion Works, modeled by Volks Inc and manufactured by Bandai Asia. Bandai calls this series Gundam Stand Art and are around 3 inches to 3 1/2 inches tall...yes they are as tall as a normal SD model kit. This Zaku figure is no. 2 of the series...no. 1 is the Gundam Wing custom, no.3 is the MKII in A.E.U.G. colors and no.4 is the MKII in Titans colors.

I like this figures a lot though I only have a couple so far...a Hi Nu and this one....the proportions and detailing of these figures are a bit different than their MG renditions and are more menacing in terms of overall look than there big MG counterparts.

I got this fig for exactly 499 Php or rough 12 USD, not cheap but it is well worth it actually... it looks great beside my mouse while I blog. A pretty solid fig once you have glued the parts in place. it is made of a rubbery material with a few plastic parts and the hand painted details are ok. Anyways, here are some pics of this cool fig...

Zeong gashapon?

Ello guys, I have here a small figure of a Zeong...I have a few of these figs that I got in Bakuc I think. Basically these are Gundam 25th anniversary fig ( it says at the back ) give aways. What is kinda special about this particular one is that it has more panel lines and details than the hguc Zeong and even the MG Zeong...of course the details are soft and sloppily painted but it does have more details than the model kits. I think this is a good reference if you have a MG Zeong and is planning to at least add panel lines to it. Anyways, here are some pics...

Char's Zaku wind-up walker toy

Hello guys, I got this Gashapon toy yesterday during my office lunch break again...and I love it...this is better than SD kits, half it's price and is more fun...There is a RX 78 2, Green Zaku, Char's Zaku, Dom and an MS I am not aware of. I plan to get all of them next time! or buy it one by one...while it walks, the head wobbles from left to right, it's darn cute! Anyways here are some pics of this really cute walker toy...

1996 Sazabi toy

This is my first gundam guys, I bought this when I was in my first year of college...and that was back in 1996...ok,ok I'm kinda old. hehehe...I bought this alongside a gp02. I gave the gp02 to a nephew though, not really interested with the design at that time, plus it cannot hold it's shield on it's own.
This is a huge gundam toy, almost as tall as a PG and is very bulky. It has good articulation that snaps much like leader class transformers toys and has really good painting and detail all over the toy. It also came with lots of accessories that I got lazy to look for, like beam sabers and such. Here are the pics...

Sumeragi Lee Noriega Banpresto figure

Sumeragi Lee Noriega (スメラギ・李・ノリエガ, Sumeragi Ri Noriega?)

Sumeragi is the tactical forecaster of the Celestial Being mothership Ptolemaios. As the most senior ranking officer on the ship, she is the de facto captain of the ship. She plans all the strategies the Gundam Meisters take part in and her strategic predictions are almost always accurate. Her real name is Leesa Kujo. In the beginning of the second series, Sumeragi is reluctant to rejoin the others until the encouragement from her companions helps her find the resolve to help them. At the end of the series, she remains with Celestial Being. Sumeragi Lee Noriega is voiced by Yōko Honna in Japanese and Lisa Ann Beley in English.( taken from wikipedia )

I got this figure around August this year, this is actually my first figure at that time. The fig kinda caught my eye while I was looking for a gundam kit to buy. The figure stands 18 cm and is very well scuplted, the pose very sexy and the painting is topnotch specially for it's price. I got this kit for $ 15 dollars...not bad, considering the quality of the figure. Here are some pics...

Char figure

Hello guys, I got this figure yesterday for a dollar...it looks kinda old and is a bit dirty already...but I really like char and his mechs. This fig stands around 5 inches tall ad looks nice detailed from afar...the detail painting is not that good upclose though, but with it's dirt cheap price, it won't bother you. Anyways here are the pics...
