Some Warmachine Khador Models Soon!

Some Warmachine Khador Modelsphoto

I will be getting some Warmachine Khador metal miniatures next month! I am currently researching on how to play them at Battlecollege and I am excited to paint them as soon as I have them!

The photos below are the models that I will be getting. All of which should be fun to paint as they are well sculpted white metal miniatures from Privateer Press. However, unlike the huge resin model Hordes Mammoth Gargantuan that I primarily bought for painting, the figures below other than the Fenris, Widowmakers, Widowmaker Marksman and the Spriggan ( fat robot with a lance ) are not too interesting to paint. I hope they are fun to field in an actual game though.

I am still learning how to blend colors in hand painting. I am now using Vallejo Mediums while hand painting and I am loving the results in comparison to using distilled water in thinning my paints.
I hope to finish my Shocktroopers soon and will sure to post them here in my blog.

I will get back to my Gunpla commissioned works next month but decided to only work on them during weekends. I plan to paint minis ( miniatures ) for 2 hours a day during weekdays though. Hopefully my 2 hour per day weekday Warmachine painting sessions will slowly help me field a fully painted Khador Army. Dang I hate sleeping much more now than ever before. 8 hours or 1/3rd of my life is wasted on sleeping! 2 hobbies ( Gunpla and Warmachine ) is too difficult to balance!

Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement as usual. I also need to have this list archived here in my blog to make it easy for me to reasearch the list at BattleCollege. Thanks a ton as always for dropping by! Until next post guys! Just enjoy the hobby! :)

Heroclix DOTA 2 TideHunter verDC23

Heroclix DOTA 2 TideHunter verDC23

It took me a while to finish this commissioned work of a Heroclix DOTA 2 TideHunter figure as I had to wait for my "Kolinsky" brushes for hand painting I bought online. One of the secrets in hand painting with  acrylic paints ( Vallejos ) are the brushes! Crappy cheap synthetic brushes will deteriorate fast as the acrylic paints will eat up those plastic bristles during hand painting. " Kolinsky " or at least Red Sable brushes are a must!

Anyways, this little toy was made a little bit more interesting by removing the Heroclix base and re-painting it. This is fully hand painted with Vallejo Model Color paints, Vallejo Water Effects and sealed with Vallejo ( Resin ) Gloss Varnish. I tried my best to add details thru painting but the sculpt of the toy is just not as detailed as real plastic, resin or white metal miniatures.

It took me a couple of days ( maybe even 3 days ) to achieve the look of the custom base as I had to apply around 4 or 5 heavy coats of Vallejo Water Effects paints and let cure for at least 12 hours. Anyways this was a fun little project fully hand painted with my Vallejos. Thanks as always for dropping by! Until next completed build guys! Just enjoy the hobby! :)

ROTF Leader Class Starscream repaint ver DC23

Transformers repaint toy photo

I have here some photos of my recently finished Tansformers toy repaint. This was a really quick 1 day painting work on the Return of The Fallen Leader Class Starscream figure. I used some Citadel metallic paints, Vallejo metallic paints, Vallejo washes, Vallejo pigments and Pledge Wipe and Shine to seal everything.

Nothing much to tell aside from the fact that I got this very nice toy on sale at half it's original price. I needed a quick project to try to condition myself on doing Gunpla, thus I thought of buying and working on this figure. It was a really fun build, thus I will hunt for a Leader Class Megatron on my next trip to Greenhills.

Anyways, here are some photos of my Starscream ver DC23 repaint...
