Tollbloods Trollkin Long Riders verDC23 - Commissioned Work

Tollbloods Trollkin Long Riders verDC23photo

I have here another Trollbloods unit from Hordes. This is also a commissioned work from the same client of the Trollkin Champions. As I've said my client wanted different skin tones per unit of Trollbloods, I decided to give these Long Riders the standard Blue of Trollbloods. I must admit that the only part of the models that I enjoyed painting was the skin. I had trouble making the fur of the bisons look good. I will have to practice on fur painting on my own models soon.

These are nice models ( as usual ) from Privateer Press. The only problem is that you need to sculpt fur as the bisons are molded and cast right in the middle. Otherwise the sculpts are pretty solid. A ton more painted Warmachine / Hordes soon! Thanks as always for dropping by! Until next posts, just enjoy the hobby! :)

Gatorman Bokor and Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers verDC23 - Commissioned Work

Gatorman Bokor and Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers verDC23photo

These little buggers won me SILVER in a Unit Painting Contest at Facebook. These models are my first commissioned miniature painted models as of now. I have a ton more units ( commissioned work ) to paint and post here at my blog soon. I love doing minis these days as it requires so much less clean up and sanding work than Gunpla. My busy schedule just does not allow me to work on Gunpla unlike before.

These models from Privateer Press has very beautiful sculpts and a delight to hand paint. I did airbrush the main green color using Vallejo Game Airs and hand painted the details with various Vallejo colors as well. I loved adding blood all over the Bogs and the Gatorman, looking forward to painting more blood on my other models.

Thanks as always for dropping by! Until next post guys! Just enjoy the hobby! :)

Aptimus Marketh Skorne Solo - UNBOXING

Aptimus Marketh Skorne Solo - UNBOXINGphoto

I have here a really quick unboxing ( unblistering ) of Aptimus Marketh. Aptimus is a Hordes Skorne Solo in white metal by Privateer Press. I love the detail and the weight of PP metal figs so much! It feels so much worth the money and feels great during game play.

This character solo is fun to field in the game as he practically collect souls of dead soldiers in the battle. Pretty cool stuff as your Warlock gets to use the soul tokens as fury tokens. Not too familiar with the rules yet, but having a cool looking model with soul collecting powers in a game sounds cool to me.

"Aptimus Marketh is one of the most accomplished extollers in the Skorne Empire.
He is so focused on the arts of ancestral magic that he prefers the company of
venerated ancestor spirits housed within sacral stones to that of his living peers.
Though somewhat aloof, his magical prowess is unmistakable and
Aptimus Marketh is frequently sought out to
lend his skill to the most worthy of skorne warlocks." - Privateer Press

Below is the link to Privateer Press with a 360 degree view of this model...

Some Warmachine Khador Models Soon!

Some Warmachine Khador Modelsphoto

I will be getting some Warmachine Khador metal miniatures next month! I am currently researching on how to play them at Battlecollege and I am excited to paint them as soon as I have them!

The photos below are the models that I will be getting. All of which should be fun to paint as they are well sculpted white metal miniatures from Privateer Press. However, unlike the huge resin model Hordes Mammoth Gargantuan that I primarily bought for painting, the figures below other than the Fenris, Widowmakers, Widowmaker Marksman and the Spriggan ( fat robot with a lance ) are not too interesting to paint. I hope they are fun to field in an actual game though.

I am still learning how to blend colors in hand painting. I am now using Vallejo Mediums while hand painting and I am loving the results in comparison to using distilled water in thinning my paints.
I hope to finish my Shocktroopers soon and will sure to post them here in my blog.

I will get back to my Gunpla commissioned works next month but decided to only work on them during weekends. I plan to paint minis ( miniatures ) for 2 hours a day during weekdays though. Hopefully my 2 hour per day weekday Warmachine painting sessions will slowly help me field a fully painted Khador Army. Dang I hate sleeping much more now than ever before. 8 hours or 1/3rd of my life is wasted on sleeping! 2 hobbies ( Gunpla and Warmachine ) is too difficult to balance!

Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement as usual. I also need to have this list archived here in my blog to make it easy for me to reasearch the list at BattleCollege. Thanks a ton as always for dropping by! Until next post guys! Just enjoy the hobby! :)
