The concept behind the Gilgamesh project is simple... " The Gilgamesh Project " is a secret mecha project in the remote regions of Northern Siberia. A small Zeon faction created this monster out of old Zeonic technologies. The mecha has been wrecking havoc on Federation forces for 5 years now, however the enemies has this mech as unclassified. No one has lived to tell the tale of the attacks of this monster, The Gilgamesh is often referred to as the " White Shark " or the " White Sunset ".
The diorama is made of of different plastic scraps from M&M canisters to small 1 inch PVC pipes. The figures used are basically out of scale coz they are 1/72 military figs. Obviously the main kit is the MG Sazabi and parts from 1/144 GNX and MG Qubeley was used to enhance the overall look.
I painted this with Tamiya acrylics and weathered it with Mungyo dry pastels, Tamiya enamels, Citadel paints and Tamiya weathering master. The diorama was painted with Bosny ( industrial grade ) spray cans and was weathered in the same manner as the mech. It took me roughly 3 months to finish this build.

the lousy LED set up... 3 LEDS per 1 9v battery... Their are 2 9v batteries and 6 LEDs
Thanks for dropping by! Til next dio! :D
I just took some night shot effects for this build so that the weak LED set up could be seen. I really need to learn how to optimize the effect of those little lights. The photos above are ok but I really like giving the kits some high contrast night effect photo shoot with one source lighting. The night shots gives the kit a more menacing look and usually looks a bit more realistic. Anyways here are the night effect photos, hope you'll like them...

Bro, Excuse the "F" Bomb
I F#@cking LOVE IT .
AND CONGRATZ!
(might have to borrow some idea from this later)
P.S.
Think this is the best yet
THANKS A BOMB TO YOU Kriz!!! without you the diorama won't be as dirty! hihi... I was not able to add the footprints though. :)
No worries! Thanks again so much for the SNOW tips my bro!!! :D

Thanks a ton buddy! appreciate it! :D
Thanks fil! but your bias and the category is just a fun category bro. My problem now is where to get my motivation for my next year's entry. :(
galing tlaga!! congrats bro
Thanks bro! :D
SIR CONGRATSS!!!!!
Thanks a ton bro! :D
Nice fluffing, except the Antarctic's 90% all ice and the Antarctic peninsula has zero vegetation of the type in the dio. A better location would be somewhere in northern Siberia, Canada, or any uninhabited spit in Sweden and Norway. But it rocks.
1 word, speechless
i'm not sure if i like it, not sure why to hate it
maybe i just prefer smoother built & poseability :D
again though, your diorama making skill, is just.... beyond word (bow toward _=_=_)
now if only some of your diorama get more explanation, well, not that it required
it is sci fi after all, don't think too much, enjoy =p
also, i see white glint influence lol, considering doing AC(armored core) anytime soon? :D
Thanks... Yeap As I have said a million times it was inspired from my AC White Glint international commission work a while back.
No worries, I will do a couple of smooth toylike Gunpla after my PG MKII commission work, maybe by December. ;)
I see, I will edit it then... heheh. Thanks! :D
You nailed it AGAIN! Master D!.. CONGRATULATION!!!!
Diggin the LED setup, although the lights should at least be positioned to illuminate the big body.
BTW, congrats on the 1st Anniv... and the trophy... ^^
Sir, congratulations on your winning. It truly is an award-winning model. Following your WIP throughout the months, I honestly did not know what to expect from it especially due to your radical mods. But after finally seeing the whole picture, my mind was totally blown by the scale and skill of your work. The superheavy mods made it almost a whole new mecha (A very intimidating type of mecha). The weathering is also superb and believable. I hope to see more of your creations in the future. It's a great inspiration for many Pinoy modellers. Congratz again! 8-)
Yeah! I am a lucky bastard bro! heheh... Thank you! :)
Agree! It was my first time to install LEDs on my dio... I need more planning next time on where to place them. :)
Thanks bro! :)
Honestly, I was also not sure on how I will pull it off, specially the boob part... glad I kinda pulled it off somehow. Thank you so much for the compliments bro! Knowing that my humble works inspires fellow Filipinos is now the main purpose of this blog and is simply what fuels me to improve further. Thank You Kabayan! :)
to paraphrase sean parker, drop the "the" in "the Northern Siberia."
I've been thinking of buying a Sazzy once, but judging by the size of the box, kakaintimidate...could have been harder than that unpainted MG EFSF Zaku I told you about ... and that Zaku came two years after the Saz. Would have not been a good foil for the original 1/100 NU. You know, the one with the unbalanced Fin-Funnel? Thinking about that BClub Long Rifle kit for the Saz made me shudder more.
Saludo ako if any Expert-class contestant would work on the HGUC Dendrobium.
Thanks, will drop it.... not sure if the hguc Dendro fits the 50cm x 50cm rule at BMKWC though. :)
My hat is off for you Master D!!! A Salute for the Master, and the Master Piece...
wow! That is a lot of masters bro... honestly I still have to learn a lot from this hobby, I just barely have 3 years of Gunpla experience... still learning a lot. :)
awesome kit bro...
everything is just nice...
great job on this!! *thumbs up*
Thanks a ton Arul! long time no see btw. ;)
