Tyranids Tyrannofex painted by DECAY

Tyranids Tyrannofex by DECAY photo

I have yet to finish my Tyranid commission work but this magnificent work by DECAY makes me want to work on it as soon as I can. I am a bit too preoccupied with real life stuffs these days though, but these Tyranids by Decay sure are very inspiring stuffs!

Decay has a very unique color scheme for his Tyranids which brings out the very venom like nature of these fictional creatures. His miniature painting is topnotch and his basing is very neat.

AC White Glint diorama by DECAY

AC White Glint diorama by DECAY photo

Easilly putting my old Armored Core White Glint to shame, I have here a very inspiring Armored Core diorama based on the introduction of the game. This was modeled by no other than DECAY of mecha lounge.

Beautiful overall composition and is the best Armored Core diorama scene I have seen so far. The chopper adds a great dimension to the overall build. Great stuff as always as we would expect from DECAY.

Warhammer 40K Tyrannofex by DECAY

Warhammer 40K Tyrannofex by DECAY photo

One of the most talented modeler and painter I know. DECAY joggles Mecha / Gundam modeling and miniature painting like both are very much the same hobby.

I am learning miniature painting as of now and I could attest that is is very different from how you used to paint your plastic robots or even how you paint you scale figures. Totally different techniques and styles and decay just switches modes any time he likes. He is very very good at both discipline / hobbies to say the least. And I present you with decay's lastest Warhammer 40k masterpiece... the Tyrannofex.

What can I say... just simply great stuff as always.

LOTR Rohan miniatures painted by Decay

LOTR miniature Photo

I am a really huge LOTR fan! I have truckloads of the 6 inch action figures, some trading cards, some hard bound books, some paper back books and some other stuffs such as ash trays, pens and even pencils and erasers.

However it was really unfortunate to discover as my wife was rounding out the stuffs in the house because of the ongoing renovation, she discovered that most of my LOTR paper back books were eaten by mice! I was not able to take photos of my poor books as she threw it away right after seeing them.

Oh well, I guess its an excuse to buy another set of those books and maybe reread them eventually. On a semi side note... I have here a link to a good friend's blog featuring his latest post of his old painted Lord of the Rings Rohan miniatures. Great stuff as always from Decay and very inspiring paint job on those tiny figures! Here is the link guys...

Resin Figures modeled and painted by Decay

Resin_Figure_Photos

Let me feature something non-gunpla but is absolutely not a waste of your mouse clicks. These figures are painted and modeled by one of our good friend and modeler at MAC Forums William Decay. I have featured Decay numerous times in my blog, as all of his works gunpla or not are simply masterpieces.

His attention to details, his masterful painting skills and his natural knack for what is beautiful or not always results to stunning pieces of art. Just look at how all the subtle colors of the skin tones of the kits makes it look very rich and artistic. Lots of hues blended together is simply a mark of advance artistic skills.

MG The O custom modeled by Decay

custommastergrade

Just got in the office, opened my blog, and opened our MAC Forums when suddenly I was greeted with this monster of a build! I needed NO coffee whatsoever nor do I need to eat breakfast to wake my senses up. This monster Master Grade The O custom was modeled by William Decay aka decay of our MAC Forums.

Decay was pretty much known for his beautiful rendition of the MG EX-S, but I think people would also now associate him with this recent masterpiece. I love the steam punk, grungy effect of the weathering and finishing and how he broke the monotony of the colors with some whites, darker tones and decal work.

All the modifications are beautiful and the mesh work is just a delight to look at. This made me soooo itchy to touch my The O build or any plastic for that matter. The mini arm that was originally placed underneath the front skirts and is now placed alongside the main arms is GENIUS! I love the creativity put into this build and the execution is masterful!

For more photos and discussion of this beautiful masterpiece, here is the link to our MAC Forums...

Warhammer 40k Tyranids modeled by Decay

Warhammer40kfigure

I have here a non-mecha feature of a bunch of Tyranid figures from Warhammer 40k. I saw this thread at our collection hub section and these beautifully painted figures were painted back in 2005 by William Decay aka decay. He used some Citadel acrylic paints on these figures and the colors are just so vibrant!

I always wanted to try painting these kinds of figures back in college, though I find them a bit expensive.  I am pretty sure they are worth the money but I just could not afford them back then. Hope to try my hand on painting these figs in the near future though.

If you like these masterfully painted figures, you could head out to decay's Photobucket account for some more. Here is the link guys...

1/72 WAVE Destroid Tomahawk modeled by Decay

I have been a bit more interested in non-Gunpla stuffs these days and there are a lot of non-Gunpla Mecha WIP threads in the forums. However this completed 1/72 Destroid Tomahawk blew me away when I saw it! This was modeled by one of our active members William Decay aka decay.

Decay is a very experienced modeler as I saw some of his old ( 2002 - 03 ) painted Lord of the Rings table top figures in the forums. I have also featured him here in my blog before when he posted his beautiful highly detailed MG EX-S Gundam, which is one of the best MG EX-S I've seen so far.

This 1/72 Destroid blew me away as I was caught unexpected! He did not have any WIPs on this one as he considered this as a relax build. This is not a relax build for me as I think this is BMKWC level already! Both the kits and the diorama are masterpieces on their own and it is just a treat to look at those very nice moody photos!

Tons more photos that I highly recommend is in our MAC Forums diorama section...
