Newtype Gunpla Competition by Mechaspot.com

I have judged a handful of online Gunpla Competitions already, but never have I been invited to fly to another country and be a guest judge on a competition. I am so honored that Mechaspot.com extended me an invite late last year and I am so excited that their competition is pushing thru.

Yours truly ( Don Suratos aka DC23 of the Philippines ) and Anupong Channarong ( aka nuNunu of Thailand ) will be flying to Indonesia and will be staying there for 3 days. We will be judging a Gunpla competition and both of us will be conducting workshops on Gunpla. The workshops should be fun as we will try to teach you as much as we can during the event ( with live demos ).

Me and nuNunu will also be giving out a special award for the entries of our choice. I will be awarding my fav diorama entry and nuNunu will be awarding his Kitbash King award.

BMKWC 2010 Thailand Group Category Champion

I present to you Thailand's Bandai Model Kit World Cup 2010 Group Category Champion! nuNUnu, the same modeler who is the BMKWC 2010 Thailand Champion is part of this Group entry. This awesome PG Char's Hazel is modeled by One.Night.Stand, oPetcho and nuNUnu. 

Insane build! great modelers these days are coming out from everywhere! Most if not all are scratch build demons and their creativity are unsurpassed. This is a perfect example of putting 3 great minds together to come up with a monstrous build!

PG RX-178 MKII EVO by nuNUnu

Anupong Channarong aka nuNUnu hails from Bangkok Thailand. This guy is simply a prodigy and is a very very very gifted modeler as he has only been playing with Gunpla for 11 months! Dang! 11 months and this guy can scratch build like hell ( for lack of a better word )! I have been doing Gunpla for almost 3 years and I could NOT even scratch build a decent box.

Glad nuNUnu posted this at ZeroGunz a bit later than most of the winners of the last BMKWC regional finals. It is very rare to see great builds after BMKWC as most modelers are working with relax builds or no fuzz builds during this time of the year. Some like me, does not even do Gunpla during this holiday season.

So we are fortunate to be treated to another masterpiece at ZeroGunz by no other than the BMKWC Thailand Champion! This beautiful PG build will represent Thailand in the World Championships soon! Excited to see and know the results of the main event already... I do not expect surprises at the finals at all, we will soon be treated to a battle of the titans! hihi
