The same client who asked me to repaint his Kratos - God of War 12 inch figure, asked me to repaint his Pewter / Lead miniature statue of Incredible Hulk.
Perfect timing as this Incredible Hulk figure will let me practice my wet blending albeit on large surfaces. I won't be wet blending as large as this though as table top miniatures are way smaller. However will see where I am at in terms of wet blending. I know I could airbrush this if I wanted to... but that won't be a challenge and is a bit boring. Besides I am lazy to set up my chunky compressor for such a small figure.
The model is not as detailed as your normal pewter miniatures so I hope my painting will give it more oomph. High contrast painting and faux painting should improve the look of the model once painted.
I will be hand painting this with Vallejo Game colors, Model colors and Vallejo inks. I am afraid I do not have the proper green and purple colors to paint this, so I should re supply tomorrow. I added texture to the plain black base and would be painting the rock / ground texture to compliment the greens. the model is a bit too large for static grass though so I might paint the ground work in grey tones ( concrete ) instead.
I will be working on this figure this holy week amongst other models, so stay tuned for a lot of updates guys. Now here are more photos of the model primed...
