Gundam Unicorn head display - snapfit

I got this as one of the prizes at BMKWC 2010 a few days back... Anyways I snap fitted it the day after and I loved it the instant I placed my hguc Unicorn Gundam on top. The funny thing is that it did not came with a manual nor a box, so it took me roughly 40 minutes to actually put this head together.

Maybe it was a test from Bandai if you really qualify as an expert modeler already. hihi... I never realized that putting together a simple kit like this without a manual could be a daunting task. However, once I finished it and placed the Unicorn Gundam on top... I totally loved it! This is actually my favorite in all my unpainted collection so far.

The articulation in the neck area is basic... it could move it's head from left to right and could look up and  down a bit also. The head itself feels a bit hollow though, I mean try to squeeze it with your fingers and it will feel like it will disassemble.

I do not have a point of comparison in terms of the detailing of the head coz I do not have a MG Unicorn Gundam. The great thing about this stand like all other stands is that I never realized how poseable the hguc Gundam Unicorn can be until I played with it while attached to the Gundam head.

This is great stuff from Bandai again! Looking forward to getting the hguc Sinanju with the Sinanju head display soon! Now here are a few more lousy snapshots of my Gundam Unicorn head display...

Geara Zulu wallpaper - DC23

Ello guys, here is another HD wallpaper using a couple of photos of my newest build which is the Geara Zulu. Basically I just blended all the elements, kit photos, text textures, outer space background and some lens flares and mixed it all together, I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 this time. As usual there are 2 HD sizes, 1920 x 1200 and 1440 x 900...do feel free to download if you like it.

1920 x 1200
1440 x 900
Thanks for viewing!til' next post! ;)

hguc Geara Zulu ver DC23

Ello guys, I just finished this hguc Geara Zulu, I got lazy and decided not to put decals anymore. This is basically a warm up build for the AC White Glint, to get accustomed to smaller parts after the PG Zeta build. I did not only get comfortable with the small parts I also got to practice detail painting the koto parts on the kit...honestly, this is my first time that I actually enjoyed working on such a small kit.

The base is temporary though, I plan to pair this with my hguc Kshatriya eventually and maybe also my hguc Unicorn. Anyways I had fun building this and I might do more hgucs more often. I'll be working on the AC White Glint starting tomorrow, so no Gundams for me for a while...but I will be back for more Gunpla, maybe create a super detailed one once I finished the AC coz I figured that I have not created a super modded kit and it is already March. now, here are some pics of this no fuzz warm up build...

hguc Unicorn Gundam ( destroy mode ) snapfit - DC23

Ello guys, I gave in really to the Unicorn series...and bought my first Unicorn. I just bought the hguc Unicorn destroy mode though, coz I can't really imagine how to modify an already detailed and great looking mech...I am patiently waiting for Rayloke's MG Unicorn and might think of getting the MG once I see his build completed.

I snap fitted this for 2 1/2 hours, it was a pretty straight build with a lots of small parts for a hguc. The number of parts accounted for was because of the exposed internal frames. The kit is 1/2 inch taller than a hguc Zeta and is pretty much taller than the Geara Zulu. It looks pretty cool with a bit of detailing might look like a MG. I will detail and work on this after the AC White Glint but will just do very minor mods coz it looks good already. My only qualms about this kit is it's poseability and the head is too small...but other than that, I would still recommend this kit as it is really good looking.

Now, here are some pics...

hguc Kshatriya snapfit

Ello guys, here is another kit I snap fitted today...I was going to get myself a PG Zaku but there was no stock, so I just bought this coz I really like the design and got poisoned by the Unicorn Video I posted a couple of days ago. I might work with a PG Zaku after my AC White Glint commission work anyways, coz my PG Zeta client wants me to detail up his PG Zaku.

I snap fitted this for 5 hours and I did not clean up some of the sprue marks...while building the kit I am already having some ideas on how to give it a DC23 treatment...there are lots of plain bare spaces in the armor and there is room to make this fierce looking mech more fierce looking. If not for the Vanguard Overed Boost attached to the White Glint, Kshatriya is a little more menacing and impressive than the White Glint. I love to work on this kit, but will have to put it aside for now and will work with it on a much later date. I do hope Bandai makes a MG rendition of this mech, that will be overly huge and might have a tag price that is the same with a PG RX. But, that will be pretty awesome!

I have here some photos

hguc Geara Zulu snapfit

Ello guys, this is actually my first hguc that I bought, I usually get my 144s as competition prizes and I usually never paint them. I think I do not have the skills ( yet ) to work with hgucs, coz they are so small. I got so poisoned with the Unicorn Video I got in youtube a couple of days ago and decided to get myself this and a Kshatriya. I also decided to work on this kit as a practice build before working on my AC White Glint commission work. I figured that working with a PG Zeta then the AC White Glint will be difficult, coz the disparity in size is huge, I have been used to working with big parts already...so I will have to practice first with this small kit before moving on to the commish White Glint. This kit is really nice, the articulation and construction is very efficient, I mean Bandai used a few parts for the joints yet it yields MGish articulation...the hguc kits are getting really better!

I have a thumbnail of this build
