New 2015 DC23 Logo

I have been using my old Beargguy logo I designed way back in 2010 as my logo last year. However, my logo design is now being used by an unlicensed ( bootleg ) Gunpla manufacturer. I also designed a simple logo for my Pilot Painting Contest yesterday, so I thought of designing a new DC23 logo to put on all my finished builds this year. 

Goodbye to my old Red Beargguy logo and hello to my new Black logo. :)

my Blog is now in night mode

I am pretty much in a very relax mood these days so I thought of changing the look of my blog from bright white to a darker calmer look. I tried to change my template but I will have to manually put back all of the hacks and tweaks that I did with my current template and I am not html literate enough to do that.

I like the color scheme of my blog so far as it made all the thumbnail photos stand out! Makes the photos seem so vibrant and the black text blends well with the bluish background. This blog is my paradise away from the real world anyways and the new color scheme seems to depict the mood that I wanted to show.

My new color scheme kinda reminds me of the old Zerogunz.com which was Zero G. Oh I miss the old Zero G so much. Anyways hope you like the new look so far and any C&C for improvement will be very much appreciated. Thanks as always for dropping by! Til' next update guys! ;)

2nd gallery is up! getting too crowded already...

First of all, I apologize to all the fellow Gunpla modelers I had in my Fellow Mech Artists page as I had to make space for another new ( but old ) page. My old gallery page is getting so crowded already and I had no choice but to sacrifice another page. I will not be slowing down in terms of building Gunpla anytime soon and I won't want to just let the old gallery page be too crowded.

I then created a new gallery page that I simply called my GALLERY 2. Gallery 2 will simply house ALL my regular builds and the concept MECHA GB entries while the old Gallery houses ALL my commission works and competition entries.

Obviously GALLERY 1 will have better and bigger kits in it as it is for my competition entries and commishes. However GALLERY 2 should be more updated regularly as it is just my regular builds and oftentimes just relax anti burn out builds.

Merry Christmas and Enjoy the Night!!!

* Back track * Exactly the same time last year I was having my worst Christmas of my adult life! It is such an unforgettable event that I will never ever delete those 1 year old posts in my blog. Simply put, it's Gunpla / Internet Nightmare before Christmas.

* Fast Forward * Everything is great now! My kids opened their presents and they love them... We ate a very hearty ( bad for the heart ) meal earlier and had some photos with the family taken. I will wake up my wife and kids in a few minutes and celebrate the night further!

My blog is a little over a year now and I have met and made a lot of friends since last year. A couple of international commission works, a 1/35 Gundam resin project and a partnership with Sonar and Gundam Australia through our Beargguy GB! Everything is running smoothly and everything is sooo good.

I just want to greet everyone  Merry merry Christmas and I sincerely hope you are also having a great night and year ahead of you. No.1 Pinoy Gundam Blog...thank you!

Ello guys, I joined a nice service oriented site yesterday ( the other day ? )...it's TOPblogs.com. Basically this site (formerly PinoyTopBlogs) measures the popularity of Filipino blogs out there. They have 27 categories, arts and crafts, humor, music, video games and a lot more...you could also search blogs by there labels. I labeled my blog with Gundam, Gunpla, Mecha, Hobby and Anime. In just a couple of days, my blog rose from no.32 to no. 16 in the Arts and Crafts category...pretty good for a very big category with most likely tons of sub categories. I like my visitor tracking service a lot but this one is extra special coz it's Filipino.

I did some search results today ( in their search box ) and typed Gundam, Gunpla, Mecha, Hobby and Anime, these are basically my labels and it yielded some nice surprising results. In the Gundam and Gunpla labels,  DC23 mech arts is no.1 in the search list...yes no.1 thanks to all my readers and regular visitors, no. 2 in the Mecha label, not in the top 10 list in the Anime label and surprisingly no.3 in the hobby label. Very nice results, very happy with my ranking given that I have only joined yesterday ( or the other day? ).

The great thing about the site is that you could see other Filipino Gundam blogs aside from the usual successful but "international" blogs out there, like Toymaker's and others that I have in my blog roll. In the Gundam category for example, I got to visit the top 3 Filipino Gundam Blogs...cool up and coming? Gundam blogs that I was not aware of before. You could also visit the blogs past the top 3 if you have the time and visiting the top 3 of any search will definitely be worth your time.

This site only tracks Filipino blogs in 27 categories and is a nice way of discovering other Filipino blogs out there.Kudos to the makers of this site, a service for Filipinos by Filipinos...Good stuff! ;)

Thanks once again to all the readers of my blog, my followers in facebook and twitter and to all who have visited my blog...DC23 mech arts is now the no.1 Pinoy Gundam Blog. Of course I won't put No.1 or best Pinoy Blog in my banner and use it as a tagline or something, that is awful!!! bwhahaha! I am just grateful to all my readers...
