Just as I thought we are just waiting for the World Championships at Hong Kong this December... nuNunu suddenly shared at ZeroGunz some photos he took at Bandai Model Kit World Cup 2010 Thailand! There are no results yet but goodluck to all the participants.
There are a couple of sick PGs with scratch built armors by nuNUnu and other awesome entries. There are also some interesting dioramas and highly modified kits. One of my fav is the Zaku Deepstriker in the photo above.

I do not think so bro... Australia just joined this year though. :)
I'm afraid the UK will never get to see a BMKWC. Gunpla simply isn't popular enough to justify it being held here.
