Harder&Steenbeck Evolution Silverline 2in1 Airbrush

Harder&Steenbeck Evolution Silverline 2in1 Airbrushphoto

Great stuff from Harder&Steenbeck  that was shipped through HobbyMate! Received this airbrush together with some HobbyMate stuff and my autographed copy of the Scratchbuild Revolution.

I have yet to use this Harder&Steenbeck Evolution 2in1 Silverline Airbrush as I am so busy at work these days. I should be able to try this beauty this coming weekend on some minis. I must say without hesitation that this is the most beautiful airbrush I have laid my hands on! The craftsmanship, the finish and the overall feel of the trigger and the whole gun is awesome.

Best value high end German made airbrush, as you practically get 2 airbrushes in 1. The set comes with 2 nozzles, 2 needles ( .2 and .4 ) and 2 cups ( 2ml and 5ml ). Again, I cannot thank Harder&Steenbeck enough for my first high end airbrush! Cannot wait to put this baby in action very soon!

BTW, I am now accepting orders for this airbrush for anyone in the Philippines who is interested. We are selling these beautiful babies at a promo price of...

7,699 php inclusive of shipping cost

Email me at donc0023@yahoo.com or PM me at Facebook for inquiries or orders of other Harder&Steenbeck airbrush models. Orders will be shipped via DHL or via airmail depending on your address ( price does not include postal charges ).

We are also selling the Harder&Steenbeck ULTRA 2in1 airbrush at a promo price of...

4,499 php inclusive of shipping cost

Never Waste Money on Expensive Alternatives

I have been in this hobby for some time now. I may not be as good as I want myself to be. I sometimes rush my projects and I am lousy with hobby deadlines. But I want to give helpful advice and tutorials to new and young modelers everytime.

If you follow this old free blog, you noticed that I have used so many alternative tools, paints and methods. Who creates snow with baby powder? However through the years, I learned to use CHEAP alternatives that give me pretty good results. The snow I made from baby powder a few years back is as hard as plaster until now.

I also use sewing pins and IC socket pins as alternative metal option parts. They serve my purpose and they cost DIRT CHEAP in comparison to real metal option parts ( if you can afford them, they are awesome though ).

So I am not advicing not to use alternatives... I am advicing not to use EXPENSIVE alternatives!

Why use tools and paints that costs as much as their real hobby counterpart? Do not experiement on expensive alternatives but do enjoy experimenting on cheap ones.

Slowly invest on tools and paints that are made for this hobby. Invest on KNOWN established brands that produced world standard quality stuff. Feel free to enjoy alternative paints and tools as you learn the hobby, so as long as they are super cheap.

For the record, my beloved workstation, my tools, and my paints you see in my photos... were accumulated through years of buying. I learned and spent and wasted so much money on bad hobby investments, and I hope as an aspiring modeler... you won't learn the hard costly way as I did.

Thanks as always for dropping by! Until next post guys! Just enjoy the hobby! :)

Central Pneumatic Airbrush from KrizKreations

Central Pneumatic Airbrush from KrizKreationsphoto

I have been very busy at work ( office ) for the past couple of weeks and will continue to be so on the next couple of weeks. I realized I failed to post this here in my blog as I usually spend so much time at Instagram these days.

Just wanted to thank my best buddy in the hobby once more as he just gave me my first airbrush after breaking my old one a couple of years ago. A ton of thanks to my best friend in the hobby KRIZ of KrizKreations for shipping this beauty from the US to here ( Philippines ). I should be using it soon in the next couple of weekends and is very excited to re-learn my airbrushing skills.

This baby ( airbrush ) arrived just in time for the painting of a ton of commissioned projects and dioramas. Should be able to finish projects a little bit faster as I do not need to hand paint them anymore. Once again a TON of thanks to Kriz for this baby!

Thanks brother!

New Acrylic Brushes for my Vallejos

Acrylic Brushes Photo

Just got meself some brushes today! I am currently checking my tools and supplies for Gunpla and could not find my old acrylic brushes. I only have the super fine 000 brushes for my miniature painting but I think my bigger brushes were used by my kids some time last year for their painting projects.

Momiji and Van Gogh brushes are average quality brushes that are descent enough for miniature painting ( Vallejo Acrylic Paints ). You have to clean them properly with lukewarm water and mild soap after each use, unless you love ( can afford ) to buy new ones for each painting project.

They are springy enough and they keep their shape pretty well even after heavy use. Of course there are more expensive red sable brushes out there that are perfect for acrylics. Will start with these brushes first though, as I am not confident with my model painting skills yet and should level up my tools ( brushes ) as I level up my skills again.

Just wanted to share as I am super stoked to buy tools and supplies slowly this month and set up my workstation again. Hopefully all is set up before April ( 2014 ) and I could start working on simple projects.

Anyways, thanks for dropping by! Until next post guys! :)

Cleaning up my Gunpla workbench...

I am halfway done cleaning up and setting up my Gunpla tools, workbench, work area, display cabinet and kits. So dang tired at this point but have to move on to start on a practice kit or miniature by weekend.

The sad news is that my airbrush is broken and all dried up, most of my supplies like cement and a few paints are all dried up too! And a few tools are rusted! Oh well, it's fun collecting tools anyways.

It's very fun to see my old unbuilt kits and some other stuffs given by old friends from all over. I do not know where to start as I have sooooo many kits. Maybe I could start painting a small miniature just to get things started.

Anyways, will clean up more kits and tools after this post. Stay tuned! :)

TOOL review: HobbyMate Micro2s Ultimate Set

HobbyMate Micro2s Ultimate SetPhoto

I have here another review of a tool from Hobbymate. This time it's the Micro2s Ultimate Set. Unlike the photo in the HobbyMate website, the Micro2s Ultimate set actually comes inside a very nice " lunch box " type clear casing. Which looks really great and nice to display ( hehehe ). However if you plan to actually use the tool, the box could be a great box for other small tools or any scale modeling scraps.

Once you order the set, the package comes with the Micro2s PRO which is another nifty nice tool and a great addition to your tool collection. The Micro2s ultimate set comes with a drilling stand, a 230volt power supply adaptor, a couple of orange attachments, a couple of chuck sizes and a couple of drill bits. A simple and straight forward manual comes with the set as there is a bit of need for assembly of the drilling stand. The set even has a small screwdriver for assembling the whole thing. You won't need anything other than a wall outlet once you order the tool.

The black drilling stand is made of heavy plastic and is surprisingly steady enough for any Gunpla drilling jobs. I am thinking of screwing a thin wooden block at the bottom as I just love the heavy feeling when using tools like this. But there is actually no need to add them. The stand can be adjusted in 3 different heights depending on your job requirement. This set is very versatile for a drilling tool.

What is the tool good for?

Well I have been using it for my usual " exposing MG internals technique " on my the O II project. It is ten times faster to use this tool on the said technique than manually boring all those holes with a pinvise. Manually boring those holes is a bit painful to your hands after some time. This tool is simply making my work 10 times faster than before. Now here are the photos of the whole set.
