Logan ART commissioned piece DONE!

I just finished this Logan commissioned piece today. Client had specific instructions and showed some visual pegs. I had fun with this piece, albeit I feel it looks too similar with the visuall peg of the client ( client instructions ).

Anyways, this Logan piece is now available as very limited ( 20 ) digital prints at the ONLINE SHOP...

THE HOBBIT movie = new HOBBY???

It has been a looooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg wait and finally it is coming!

I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan, I read all the books, I have numerous LOTR books, almost have all the action figures from " toybiz ", some trading cards and even a Legolas ash tray.

Not too sure but I think I have around 150 pieces of LOTR action figures in my display cabinet. I have like 10 Frodo Baggins and around 8 Legolas action figures. All figures are covered in dust but the new up coming " The Hobbit " movie makes me want to clean them up and take photos of them for the net to see. OR better yet, I could start buying and painting some Lord of the Rings Games Workshop figures soon.

Same as when I saw the small beautiful face of my first new born child, I could not explain how happy I am when I saw the trailer of the up coming The Hobbit movie.

The Lord of the Rings trading cards are hard to come by, The toyline 6 inch action figures from toybiz is long dead and collecting the LOTR GW miniature figures is the nearest thing to what I have been doing for the past 3 years. If I get to buy my first LOTR miniature, my Vallejo paints will be of some use again.

The movie got me excited... and I might be moving on to a different hobby this 2012.

The Rite - a must see movie with the family!

The Rite is a must see movie with the family! Okay, okay... just kidding! Just a random post that is non mecha related guys. I just watched the movie last night with my wife, although she fell asleep and I finished the movie alone. I need not be graphic, but I do not recommend watching this movie alone though - lol.

I really enjoyed the movie and I must admit it is the first time I watched a movie of this nature alone. Much to the surprise of ALL of my old and new friends, I actually went to a seminary for a year. Yeap, I wanted to be a priest when I was younger and I was fortunate to experience the seminary life for a year.

The seminary life was great and complete! Anyways that is for another blog post... I highly recommend you watch this thrilling movie. I must see for almost everyone. Another great performance by Anthony Hopkins and a great not over the top exorcism movie.

The plot is convincing and the flow of the movie is thrilling yet subtle at the same time. Visual effects are very refined and the climax is not overboard. Great stuff! Go get a copy now! :)

Real Steel is REAL cool stuff!

I watched the Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides a couple of Sundays back with my kids and also saw the Kung Fu Panda 2 yesterday with them. Both are really fun to watch but I would not spoil you by comparing it with their previous sequels.

I saw the Real Steel Trailer featuring Hugh Jackman twice in those movies already. And being a UFC and a bit of boxing fan, ( because of Manny Pacquio ) makes me anticipate this movie a ton more than ALL the upcoming marvel movies. Hmmm, maybe except the Green Lantern and the Transformers of course.

Anyways this is such great and exciting stuff! At least for me and I would like to share a couple of YouTube trailers to convince you that this movie should at least be entertaining! Here they are...
