My daughters are dead tired after our first day at Gunpla Builders World Cup Philippines. It was a 4 hour drive to and from the event, much worth it as I got to meet a lot of MAC forum members earlier today. This also marks the first time I did not join in the annual and official Bandai competition, however it also marks the first time that my daughter Nico has joined the event.
I cannot describe in words how happy I am whenever I see my eldest daughter touch Gunpla. She did some minor adjustments to her diorama before going to the event. She also signed the registration forms and fixed her kit before judging. I also got to snap fit a first grade kit with her and she does not even need to read into the instructions of the FG that much while building.
This is a ton more exciting for me than last year... just cannot describe it in words. :)
Anyways, I was happy as I took photos of the entries in the event. A few I recognized as they were posted in our MAC forums earlier this year already. I have my fav entries as usual as you can tell in my photos. Some kits are more impressive looking in person, some are more impressive in photos... never the less, all kits looks impressive this year!
Gone are the years when we pretty much know who is going to win the event. Competition is a lot stiffer and their are more talented modelers around unlike the olden times ( circa 2008 and earlier ). Anyways, more photos and discussion of the GBWC Philippines at MAC forums in the link below...
Goodluck to all participants tomorrow! Awarding day! :)
