Underwater Visual Effects Project

Underwater Visual Effects Project Photo

Nothing related to Gunpla or toys but just wanted to share the latest work of my team.

I assigned this project to my morning ( AM ) shift team and evening ( PM ) shift team last month ( February ). The AM shift did the darker scenes with the luminous jelly fish and squid, while the PM shift did the parts of the colorful yellow fish ( Nemo-like ) scenes.

I was so happy with the output as it looks almost realistic. Pretty happy with the overall animation of the creatures, the compositing and the character designs. The environment looks rad as well. The creatures were done in Autodesk Maya and the compositing and color grading was done in Adobe After Effects.

The team is suppose to create different CGi projects every month this year until June. This is their second project which is an improvement from the initial project last January. Their output made me overly excited with the future projects that both teams will produce. Should be fun and will sure share screen shots of the future projects here in my blog soon!

Below are a few screenshots of the 20 second visual effects project...
