Our partner Alex Arevalo aka Oceansean has a sculptor working on the head sculpt already. I will be sending him my Snap fitted Master Grade Wing Zero Custom for a better reference.
We decided to just use Photoshop to add detailing instructions for the sculptor as his guide. The proportions of the 1/35 Gundam WZC will be more or less similar with the Master Grade. We decided to do the details in photoshop simply because I will be very limited in terms of what I can do with a very small 1/100 master grade.
Adding detailing instructions in Photoshop as to where to put pla plates, details, panel lines and exposed internals would be a lot more efficient and effective on my part. Will make sure to tell you once I have edited this post and have added the detailing instructions.
Thanks for dropping by! Til next update guys! :)
58 photos to prove a point? That's way too much. Hope you take that as constructive criticism. Sobrang dami lang. Un lang
ReplyDeleteWhat do you plan to use for the wings? I would thing that resin would be waayyyy to heavy.
ReplyDeleteIt'll probably be fiberglass Matt, not has heavy but more durable. Will probably make it hollow but we'll see, need to discuss it with the team. It'll have a custom base as well so I don't think there will be danger of it falling flat on it's back.
ReplyDeleteThis post is not for proving a point sir. As you can see today I have edited a couple of head photos and replaced them with detailing instructions. I will be needing MOST if not ALL the photos as the sculptor will use this as a guide for the additional details. ;)
ReplyDeleteNo idea buddy, I am just the designer. hehehe
ReplyDeleteFiber glass? sounds very interesting! XD
ReplyDeleteJust for the wings bro. hehe because if we're going for that pose, the wing span is gonna be reeeally wide and heavy. The rest will still be resin.
ReplyDeleteCool! I leave the techies to you brother. hehehe
ReplyDeleteI see
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be sick Don!.... i agree that using photoshop to mock up the designs is a great idea. Easier in the long run.
ReplyDeleteKeep going Sir DON!
Yeap! and I just do not have the skills to do it on a MG. ;)
ReplyDeletei'm really interested in this project. can i add some i idea? im not sure if the design for the gundam is more to organic, angelic like gundam, or more mechanized gundam. if its for angelic looking, i think the mg wing gundam design is the way to go. it would just need a few adjustment by making it slender such as the torso, legs etc. personally i prefer for mechanized version which some inner structures, more armor and panel lines can be seen. for the legs, it would be really nice if they can be like the pg strike freedom, which the thighs split and show inner structure. the shoulder maybe need to be redesign. i kinda lke the g-system 1/72 nu gundam shoulder design. if it can be incoorperated somehow to wing gundams' shoulders would be nice.
ReplyDeletethis is just my two cents. please keep up the good works. thanks
Thank you so much for the suggestions bro! Will take a look at the 1/72 Nu Gundam design! thanks! :)
