G-SHOT - 2nd round elimination
I just finished casting my votes for the top entries of the 2nd round! My fellow judges Derringer and Gaijin Gunpla has also casted their votes in all five categories. Only Adam Sonar the creator of Gundam Australia Forums and Gundam Guy has not casted their votes, but for sure we will be announcing the winners by February 5 ( Saturday )!
We will then select the winners of each category from the top entries of round 1 and round 2. All 5 judges should agree on a winner from all the top entries from both rounds. This is a contest of both modeling and photography skills, thus the winner has the best kit with the best photo after all is said and done. Good luck again to all the participants!
It was an honor for me to have been a judge in this online " World Championships "! Lots of amazing, jaw dropping entries that made some of my builds look so amateur. We had the opportunity to judge almost 600 entries from almost 200 modelers from all over the world in the past few weeks. It was a daunting task to say the least but it was a very rewarding experience to have been part of this great event.
Saying that this contest was so inspiring is an understatement. Lots of little known new modelers with great potential and skills. Hope to see those guys a little bit more. Anyways, the winners should be announced at Gundam Guy very very soon, so stay tuned! :)
Well I know im not in the top 10 because I saw some of the uploads on Gundam Guys facebook ^^! I have my own choices. I wonder if im right! To be honest this was a nice contest to enter and all the works submitted are great for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAs ive said before im hoping for a MAC member to win somthing ! It would be great for Ray to pick up the custom prize. I did really like his custom SD ^^ it gave me lots of inspiration.
Anywho! Thank you for judging DC, I can imagine it takes a lot of your time bro...
sooner or later the result will be out...i dont mind if i'm lose here and this doesn't mean i have to stop from what im doing. From this competition, i know that it doesn't mean that you have a stunning painted/modification of the kit, you will win, it's how you work with your photography skills + model kit = good result of image. Anyway, it's a great online competition and thanks to all the judges who worked hard looking for the winners in each category. Well, gambate mina! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was an inspiring experience indeed! I do not have any idea who's winning at this point as we only just finished the 2nd round elimination.
ReplyDeleteYeah hope one of the guys at MAC wins something... but even really OLD timers, meaning at least 8 years experience in Gunpla joined the contest so it will be tough for everyone. Not saying that the old timers are sure win, some did not even made it to the top 10. lol
SO it's everybody's ball game at this point. Good luck to all man. :)
Oh, just participating in a contest should inspire you to get better, does not matter whether you win or lose bro. You are up against experienced modelers anyways, so just being with them in the same breathe should be inspiring. Much more if you beat them. Just enjoy the hobby bro. XD
