Discarded my post yesterday, made a booboo with the topcoat and ended up with super glossy finish plus the indoor lighting added to the glossy effect. I was not able to meet up with the client yesterday as I was not feeling very good ( Hypertension ), So I applied a final matte coat on the kit today and gave it an outdoor photo shoot.
Not to make an excuse, but this project is wayyyy long overdue. got this since February this year but was only able to finish it yesterday. So many distractions last July, set up a fan page at Facebook, created a MAC Facebook, co created the MAC forums and finished my Gilgamesh project.
Anyways, here are some photos of my most recent work...
Thanks for dropping by! Til' next post. :)
nice~! just sorta a bit glossy? dont mind me, i maybe prefer a flat finish, but that's just me ^^;;;
ReplyDeleteanyway Nice works!
Looks great,
ReplyDeletetoo bad the dio doesn't have those little figures, IMO those always add a nice touch :)
hey Master D!... what happen to your tutorial section?...
ReplyDeleteAgree, too glossy... just gave it a flat coat today... Thanks! :)
ReplyDeletehihi, it's an abandoned hangar base. :D
ReplyDeleteJust paid paypal a 1 year PRO subscription. dang! hope it's up now. :)
ReplyDeletewow!!bro i like the flat finish!
ReplyDeletethe build is not balanced, too much plating and MSG is made on the chest yet the head looks basic, plus the fact that having too much plating and MSG makes the externals, looked like the internals. Not that impressive..
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! XD
ReplyDeleteThanks fil! :)
ReplyDeleteCool Titans gundam. I have a perfect grade mark 2 titans, and I am stripping off the paint because I messed up on the color of the head. So I just decided to strip off the all the paint and customize it. It's my first time pla pating, so I just cut basic shapes. I wanted to ask you if you have any ideas of any more mods that I should try? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCool! Goodluck with your build then... what do you mean by mods? techniques or style? :)
ReplyDeleteAny style help would be good. I also just ordered some kotobukiya parts from hobby link japan, it is so expensive to ship to the U.S.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
If you are from the US, you should try getting your supplies from GUNDAM GUY - http://gundamguy.blogspot.com/2010/09/gg-infinite-my-online-hobby-store.html
ReplyDeleteStyle? hmmm, a gazillion custom panel lines is a technique that would greatly enhance any kit. :)
His store is going to open soon, and it is good because he also lives in california. Thanks for the help. Once the paint is stripped I will get working on the pla plates and on the panel lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
You also give us surprising kit but i like the sazabi rather than this one.. Nice weathering.. Maybe i don't like the blue color.. Nice one..
ReplyDeleteThanks bro! The saz is a different story bro... hihi, I won't have a build similar to the Saz until around BMKWC 2011. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think G.G. accepts orders already. Not sure though. :)
ReplyDeleteHow much does it cost you Master D?... Hehehe...
ReplyDeleteEnough to do some more. hihihi ;)
ReplyDeleteif i live in Singapore, where can i buy gundam through online from?
ReplyDeleteYou have to ask Kenny aka Toymaker bro... he is from Singapore - http://toymakerinc.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletenot to offense you (master)... but I think some elements isnt "dc23" enough... ???
ReplyDeleteI think the gundam isn't blending well with the empty diorama, It looks more like a statue rather than a war machine...
or the main blue color doesn't look good...
I don't mean any rude comments but I know this isn't the top best of what dc23 can do... (no offense... I'm still a beginner though...)
I am still a big fan...
ReplyDeleteNo worries bro... thanks for the critic, and thanks for dropping by! ;)
ReplyDeletehehehe, ;)
ReplyDeleteLook good :), IMO the cannon looks too clean no dust or burns.

ReplyDeletewow!
ReplyDeleteThanks intot! :D
ReplyDeleteHow did you get rid of the glossy effect on the model? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI sprayed a mixture of future and Tamiya flat base. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you know how much flat base you used in the mixture. Thanks.
ReplyDeletearound 15 to 20 % bro... never go over 30% as that will cost a white surface. :)
ReplyDeleteHow do you make rust on your gundams ?
ReplyDeleteand what metallic color
