Hello guys, I just wanted to share my humble set of tools for gunpla...I thought this could be of some help to the newbies in the hobby who are still in the progress of buying tools. I usually acquire or buy tools whenever my wife forbids me to buy gunpla...I could easilly put it in my toolbox without her noticing of course.hehehe
Here is my humble toolbox...
Here is my humble toolbox...
were can u buy or find hasagawa tools(modeling saw tools) in the philippines?
ReplyDeleteI get mine at LIL's Trinoma...there is also a LIL's at Megamall and makati I think.
ReplyDeleteMaster Don,
ReplyDeleteBaka kasi mag migrate na ako to another country. Would you recommend buying tools here before I leave? I am heading to Canada. Medyo may tools na din ako, ang wala pa ako na major is yung drill, airbrush, hobby knife, twizzers, markers, and c-clamps. yung compressor meron na ako.
Goodluck then... I do not really recommend buying tools here that needs replacement parts later. You might have a hard time finding the parts. You could buy the C-clamps, drill bits, Tamiya pinvises, markers and twizzers.
ReplyDeleteBut buying a Tamiya Airbrush and hobby knife that needs replacement parts I do not recommend bro. ;)
Okay thanks bro. Good advise. I am so excited to build may gundams, however I still can't. :( Because with the migration plans and all.
ReplyDeleteI'm maynard from cavite, and Im been starting to build gundams since last April, I've built 5 MGs Unicorn, Exia, Strike, Freedom, Strike Freedom), and 1 HG (00-Raiser) but sadly enough,..so far the best thing I did to my kits is panel lining with black ink so far I'm happy with just it. But since the time I get the interest of building PG 00 raiser, I've been searching the internet countless times to make the kit even cooler and not just panel line and saw very amazing kits (e.g. the O-raiser kit by joseph.lim.net) that I can only drool about.
ReplyDeleteThis is currently what I'm doing, and what I want to do with the PG 0 Raiser,.. sanding all the armor parts and spray it with clear and clear flat (since I dont want to change its color scheme, sanded the bigger and some of the outer parts of the inner frame and retain some (in order to make an effect that their is a different color scheme, so far im happy with the results)...the other things I really wanted to do but don't know where to buy is painting the clear parts and applying those model cement, as well as change the color setting of the white parts of the weapons to make it appear duller white...where can I buy those TAMIYA PAINTS and MODEL CEMENT, I never seem to find one in ace. DIY, handyman hardware stores here in cavite, thank you very much.
what airbrush do you use and compressor?can i know where i can buy just like yours?,,thx men
ReplyDeleteI got my Tamiya HG III airbrush at Lil's Trinoma, but I got my old compressor from my dad. Ace should have compressors with air tanks just like mine. :)
ReplyDeletehehe i read that your tamiya basic compressor (sprayworks) did not last long?is it worth buying for?oh it is better for me to buy at ace?
ReplyDeleteBuy at Ace or any Art supply store bro... Tamiya basic can only be used for an hour. :(
ReplyDeletetnx for the info..i'll go to sm manila cause thats the only place where i saw i art supply store hehe
ReplyDeleteCompressors are investments bro... hope you get a nice one. :)

ReplyDelete.3mm nozzle and it does not come with a hose. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a LOT OF GEAR. I mostly made do with a nail file, nail cutter, a few pieces of sandpaper different grits, Mr Surfacer and Tamiya cement I bought in Nova Fontana back in 1995.
